OCAF Digital Marketing Webinars

We’ve heard loud and clear from our consultations that the cultural tourism sector needs and wants more digital marketing training. Especially right now during Covid-19. We are thrilled to be able to offer you to a series of seven  webinars which will help build your digital marketing capacity, give you new tools and ideas and hopefully help with your recovery and rebuilding once we are all able to congregate again.

The webinars are provided by Capacity Interactive, a premier digital marketing consulting firm for the arts. They help clients engage audiences, build community and market smarter. Some of you will be familiar with their work from the last webinar series.

These webinars are for all arts administrators including marketers, fundraisers, executive and artistic leaders, and board members. They will be useful for anyone interested in improving their digital marketing and leadership skills. Please forward this invitation to your marketing personnel and any other members of your staff or board that you feel could benefit from the training. If you are aware of other organizations in your area which could benefit from participating, please let us know. Our aim is to build as much capacity as possible within the cultural tourism sector so we are all better prepared for this new reality.

Please feel free to be in touch with me (ksharpe@ocaf.ca) or Thomas Vaughan (tvaughan@ocaf.ca) if you have any questions. You can find more information about Capacity Interactive here: https://capacityinteractive.com/ .

The time is NOW. The Coronavirus crisis requires arts organizations to leave behind many of the old-fashioned ways we communicate, both internally and externally. This session will ask four critical questions:

  1. Has my organization reduced reliance on 20th-century interruption media and adopted a new model centered around evangelism and a minimum viable audience?
  2. Is my organization’s communication human-centered?
  3. Does my organization embody the organizational health needed to support modern external communication?
  4. Is my organization’s digital house in order?

Drawn from interviews with thinkers and leaders from the CI to Eye podcast, spring Boot Camp Livestream, and CI’s consulting work with over 200 arts and cultural organizations, Erik Gensler, the President of Capacity Interactive, will provide research and examples of 21st-century answers to inspire you to take action.
