The opening of the new MacLaren Art Centre in Barrie, in the historic downtown core, celebrates the success and expansion of the centre. The new building incorporates a renovated Carnegie library with a new addition by Taylor Hariri Portarini Architects. The opening exhibition and publicity created a larger audience for this art centre.
