Project Description:
This application is for “The Niagara Grape & Wine Festival Showcase Niagara Program“, which will see enhancements of both the main fall Festival (September 1 to 30, 2022) and the Icewine Festival (January 13 to February 5, 2023). Programming will include:
(1) “Grape & Wine Month” and the “Niagara Grape & Wine Fall Festival”: featuring 30 days of free live cultural programming throughout downtown St. Catharines and Niagara, including 50 hours of live music on the Main Stage in Montebello Park on weekends, up to 10 hours of live music on secondary stages/events, as well as a local artist feature and 16 culinary partners. A “Grande Parade” will feature roughly 100 performance acts, including musicians, drumlines, dancers, and performance artists; and
(2) The new ‘Cool as Ice’ Gala, which will kick off the 3-week Niagara Icewine Festival on Friday, January 13, 2023. This reimagined signature event will feature a series of immersive spaces, uniquely themed, highlighted by memorable décor, lighting installations, ‘Instaspots’ and live DJ’s or musicians. A “Look Hot, Be Cool” dress code from black tie to punk; hip-hop to drag will be in place.
