Organization Description:

Incorporated in 2022, Trent Hills Pride is a volunteer-driven community organization dedicated to fostering safety, belonging, and inclusion for 2SLGBTQ+ people and their allies across Trent Hills and Northumberland County. Through cultural celebrations, educational initiatives, and community advocacy, the organization works to counter discrimination and strengthen community resilience in a rural setting. Its annual Trent Hills Pride celebrations, held each June across Campbellford, Hastings, and Warkworth, feature flag raisings, performances, and family-friendly community events that celebrate diversity and acceptance. In recent years, the organization has expanded its programming with initiatives such as the Kaleidoscope workshop series, which offers creative arts, storytelling, and wellness sessions designed to empower youth and older adults while building stronger connections within the community.
