ArtsXplosion is a not-for-profit-organization registered in Ontario in 2012. Its mandate is to organize cultural events that promote the arts and bring people of different backgrounds together. Its major initiative is the inaugural Pan American Food Festival in 2013.

This application is for “PANAMFEST 2026”, taking place July 24 to 26, 2026 at Nathan Phillips Square, with a VIP Gala Opening Reception on July 16 at Artscape Daniels Spectrum. The 2026 edition represents the most ambitious program in the festival’s history and runs concurrently with the 2026 FIFA World Cup, creating an opportunity to attract domestic and international visitors already travelling to the city during the World Cup period. Programming includes: (1) Panamerican Colours II Visual Arts Exhibition: a contemporary exhibition opening July 10 at Gallery 1313 featuring work by twelve Panamerican artists curated by Francisco Alvarez, running through August and highlighting contemporary artistic perspectives from across the Americas; (2) Gala Opening Reception: a ticketed VIP event on July 16 at Artscape Daniels Spectrum welcoming sponsors, diplomats, funders, and cultural partners to launch the festival and strengthen international and community partnerships; (3) Three-Day Public Festival Programming: a free outdoor celebration at Nathan Phillips Square featuring more than 45 live musical and folkloric performances representing 25 countries from North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean, along with the International Panamerican Parade with over 500 costumed performers; and (4) Culinary, Cultural, and Family Programming: interactive experiences including the World Cup of Traditional Food competition, culinary demonstrations by 20+ chefs, the Panamerican Market of food vendors and artisans, children’s cultural workshops, salsa dance competitions, youth talent showcase Next Panamerican Star, and a dedicated FIFA 2026 activation zone developed with York United FC.
