Project Name: JerkFest Toronto 25th Anniversary Festival
Project Description:

This application is for the “JerkFest Toronto 25th Anniversary Festival”, a three-day outdoor cultural and music festival taking place August 7 to 9, 2026 at Centennial Park in Toronto. Celebrating its 25th anniversary, the Festival expands its flagship programming with an additional music headliner, enhanced culinary experiences, and expanded community and family programming. The organization has also secured an additional 30% footprint of the park to accommodate the anticipated larger audience this year. As one of Ontario’s leading Caribbean cultural festivals, JerkFest Toronto showcases music, food, and culture rooted in the Caribbean diaspora while attracting local, regional, and international visitors to Toronto’s summer festival calendar. Programming includes: (1) Live music and performance programming: a three-day concert program featuring four headliners and six local artists on the TD Main Stage, presenting reggae, soca, dancehall, and R&B performances, with an expanded opening night focused on younger audiences. This year’s headliner is Patrice Roberts, the Festival’s highest profile performer to date; (2) Culinary marketplace and cooking demonstrations: a curated marketplace of Caribbean food vendors, arts and crafts, and six free live cooking demonstrations delivered over Saturday and Sunday, featuring cultural food storytelling and chef-led tastings; and (3) Cultural and community programming: youth and emerging artist showcases, interactive cultural experiences, heritage presentations, and family-friendly activities including children’s entertainment, steelpan demonstrations, and a kids’ zone.
