| Project Description: | Unionville, in the Town of Markham, will celebrate its sesquicentennial this year and mark the occasion with a series of special events. The project includes enhancements to several ongoing, annual events as well as new initiatives. Included are "A Tribute to Kathleen McKay; the Unionville Festival; a summer concert series from June to mid-September with a variety of performers and genres; Canada Day weekend festivities; "William Berczy: Man of Enlightenment"; Oktoberfest; Olde Tyme Christmas; Sundays on Main Street; Celtic Festival; Markham Jazz Festival; Doors Open Markham; and the Antique & Heritage Festival. |
