Project Name: 4th Line Theatre’s 2019 Season
Project Description:

This funding is for the marketing of the “4th Line Theatre’s 2019 Season”, expanded programming taking place June 4 to December 21, 2019 at the Winslow Farm and other venues in MIllbrook. The Theatre is presenting two large scale productions, three additional summer performance dates, ten pre-show and post-show music concerts, three ‘farm forum’ roundtable events and one shoulder season production in the winter. Programming will include:

(1) July 2019 – Summer Production #1 – “Bloom: A Rock ‘n’ Roll Fable”: written by Beau Dixon, the play follows the lives of two small-town best friends from Assumption, Ontario, who share a lifelong love affair with rock ’n’ roll music (21 evening performances);
(2) August 2019 – Summer Production #2—”Carmel”: Ian McLachlan and Robert Winslow’s play about farming in the great depression (21 evening performances);

(3) July/August 2019 – “Pre-Show Concert Series”: (i) eight free concerts from 4 – 5 pm at the Winslow Farm (details tbd); (ii) two post-show concerts from 9:30-11:00 pm at St. Thomas Anglican Church (details tbd);

(4) August 2019 – “Farm Forum Round-Table Event Series”: three free pre-show community farm forum round-table gatherings at the Winslow Farm (details tbd);

(5) July/August 2019 - “Festival Fridays at the Farm”: eight afternoon events from 4 – 5:30pm at the Winslow Farm. Managing Artistic Director, Kim Blackwell, hosts artist talks and local farmers and food purveyors offer patrons a wide range of prepared food;

(6) September 2019 – “Play Reading & Music Series”: three afternoon play reading events at South Pond Farms including Maja Ardal’s “Wishful Seeing”, Robert Winslow’s “Eleanor”, and “4th Line Day,” where 4th Line musicians will play music and Kim Blackwell will interview playwright Maja Ardal, who will also read excerpts from her play in development, “Pearl Hart”; and

(7) December 2019 – “Christmas Production”: 15 evening performances at St. Thomas Anglican Church (details tbd).
