Project Name: Ontario Culture Days 2016
Project Description:

This application is for “Ontario Culture Days 2016”, taking place across the province from September 30 to October 2, 2016.

The seventh edition in 2016 will include the inaugural Youth Ambassador Program, an initiative that will see the organization commissioning, incubating and producing new community arts creations for the first time. The five successful applicants will be awarded a two-year residency and one-on-one mentoring leading to the presentation of their own Culture Days event. They will also serve as Culture Days Ambassadors in their communities and across the province.

As there are very few communities that have yet to host Culture Days events, in 2016 organizers aim to intensify the scope and density of Culture Days activities across the province by up to 15%. This represents an increase from 54 hubs (communities with five or more interconnected activities in 2015), to up to 82 hubs in 2016.
