The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition exists to advance the knowledge and appreciation of the visual arts through the organization of an annual outdoor art fair and exhibition, and related programming. The Toronto Outdoor Art Exhibition is Canada’s largest and longest running outdoor art fair, showcasing the work of over 350 artists and 100,000 visitors annually.

62nd Toronto Outdoor Art Fair

This application is for the “62nd Toronto Outdoor Art Fair”, taking place July 2 to 9, 2023, at Nathan Phillips Square. The 62nd TOAF will be a fully integrated large-scale online and in-person event with new and enhanced free public programs. Programming will include: (1) “36 Questions that Lead to Loving Toronto” in partnership with Myseum, the interactive/participatory pop-up exhibit invites Torontonians and visitors to consider the role art plays in our city and our lives; (2) Newly commissioned site-specific dance and movement installation conceived and choreographed by Jenn Goodwin and collaborators. This piece will be performed on the podium walkway at Nathan Phillips Square with a moving ensemble of 10 - 15 performers; (3) Gallery 44’s family-friendly cyanotype-making workshop; (4) OCAD U GradeEX Popup a curated showcase of GradEx students which will include three to four student booths; (5) Music programming in partnership with Small World Music; (6) Beer garden expansion allowing a dedicated and more accessible food and drink zone with curated food vendors and a designated artist lounge with a charging station, refreshments and comfortable seating space; and (7) “Budding Art Buyers” TOAF's popular art collecting program for young art lovers aged 14 and younger.
