ArtsXplosion is a not-for-profit-organization registered in Ontario in 2012. Its mandate is to organize cultural events that promote the arts and bring people of different backgrounds together. Its major initiative is the inaugural Pan American Food Festival in 2013.

This application is for the “PANAMFEST 2024: Pan-American Magic” the 12th edition of the Festival, taking place July 12 to 21, 2024, at various venues in Toronto including Nathan Phillips Square. The 2024 feature country will be Colombia. Programming will include:

(1) Canadian Tourism Pavilion where other attractions across Ontario and Canada can be promoted as tourism destinations to Toronto residents and out-of-town visitors;

(2) VIP Opening Reception at Daniels Spectrum (July 12);

(3) Panel Discussion: Let’s Talk About Diversity in Canada, at Metropolitan University (July 15); and

(4) Festival Activities at Nathan Phillips Square: (i) Pan Am Music and Folklore; (ii) Great Canadian Pan-American Parade at Nathan Phillips Square on Saturday night, celebrating the Carnival traditions of many cultures; (iii) Colombian musical headliner (tbc); (iv) Canadian Indigenous musical performance; (iv) Women in Food featuring six Latin-Canadian chefs; (v) Passion for the Caribbean Show; and (vi) Brazilian Samba Show.
