Incorporated in 2015, the Timmins Festivals and Events Committee (TFEC) is a non-profit organization formed to increase the quality of life in Timmins by producing events and concerts with the goal of increasing tourism to the area. The committee aims to develop and foster community spirit in the Timmins area and give a platform to local talent. The organization puts on several events throughout the year including Rocktoberfest in October, Epic Band Battle in the spring, and Rock on the River as a large festival in July.

"This application is for “2024 Rock on The River”, taking place July 18 to 20, 2024 at Hollinger Park Pavillion in Timmins. Rock on the River is expanding from a two-day to a three-day music festival that will include dedicated nights for country music, classic rock, and rock. This ticketed event is open to all ages and accessible and inclusive for all.

Artists confirmed to date starting on Thursday July 18th, (Country Night) will feature Tim Hicks and Dean Brody. Friday July 19th, (Classic Rock) will feature local band Ruuster, Lita Ford, Bret Micheals, (former lead singer of Poison) with special guest Dee Snider (Twisted Sister) and Steve Augeri (former lead singer of Journey). The full Saturday night line-up is not yet under contract.

A free “Fun Zone”, located directly outside the paid concert site, will feature live music by local and regional up-and-coming musicians. A total of 12 artists will be included in the 2024 Rock on The River Free Zone musical line-up. The fun zone also includes street buskers, live entertainment, children inflatables, food and craft vendors along with various community groups showcasing their services."
