"This application is for the “Harbourfront Festival”, a four-day Festival taking place on the land and waters surrounding the inner harbour of the city from June 28 to July 1, 2024. Festival programing will include:

(1) “Canada’s Rock of Fame” tribute show, featuring the songs of some of Canada’s greatest song writers played by Owen Sound’s most talented musicians. The set list will include songs by Bachman Turner Overdrive, Trooper, The Guess Who, Rush, Doucette, Loverboy, Aldo Nova, Strange Advance, Byran Adams, Colin James, 54-40, Tom Cochrane, Alannah Myles, The Jeff Healey Band, The Tragically Hip, The Trews, and Spirit of the West. This will be a free evening show held at Kelso Beach at Nawash Park;

(2) Doors Open Ontario Tours (details TBC);

(3) The Tom Thomson Art Gallery will feature free family-friendly art activities inspired by Tom Thomson all weekend;

(4) Youth Day: featuring musicians from Summerfolk Youth Discoveries, youth artists, crafters, young entrepreneurs who will showcase and feature their works of art. The site will also feature pony rides, a magician, creative art seminars, food vendors and opportunities for the youth to connect with local organizations. The day will conclude with a GLOW night party featuring a DJ, disco lights, and fire juggling by a local and talented juggler;

(5) Water activities including intro to kayaking and canoeing, demos, boat parade by owners at the Georgian Bay Marina and local boat owners, demonstrations and opportunities to try Dragon Boating by the Grey Bruce Dragon Boat Club, plus tours of the Harbourfront in The Big Canoe, with food vendors, breweries, wineries, and craft vendors along the shoreline; and

(6) Canada Day Celebrations, featuring live entertainment on the big stage, food and craft vendors, cultural celebrations and cultural organizations, EMS touch a truck, activities for kids, pony rides and fireworks to end the day."
