Projet 2026 Vibrant Brampton
Description du projet

This application is for “Vibrant Brampton 2026”, a three-day free outdoor festival taking place July 17 to 19, 2026 at Gage Park in downtown Brampton. The festival showcases the City of Brampton and Peel Region’s South Asian and multicultural communities through live music, dance, a vendors’ market, and hands-on fun workshop corners suitable for all ages. This year the organizers are introducing “Root’d”, a fully programmed tech-and-arts pavilion, as an expansion of the Vibrant Brampton Festival. The programming includes: (1) Main stage performances: international headliners and Canadian acts such as the Nandy Sisters, alongside a mix of South Asian and multicultural programming which includes folk and devotional performances; (2) Workshop corner and community arts zone: with activities including dance sessions, crafts, wellness talks, and art programming, including seniors’ art circles, kids’ activities, and completion of a large community mural, alongside more than 20 food vendors serving South Asian and international cuisines and an expanded marketplace of craft and clothing vendors; and (3) Interactive music technology pavilion: a covered workshop hub offering hands-on sessions in DJing, beat-making, AI-assisted music production, and live performance technology led by Brampton-based artists such as Mrii and Datsunn, alongside a technology performance stage featuring a two-day program of live hip-hop, reggae, electronic fusion, and global music performances on July 18 and 19 with emerging and international artists such as Jazz Dhami and Jassi Sidhu.
