The Festival of Arabic Music and Arts is back! It’s the first of its kind in Ontario – an annual Festival taking place Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton, and brought to you by The Canadian Arabic Orchestra in partnership with the Festival Du Monde Arabe De Montréal.
FAMA runs October 28th – November 12th, and offerings range from FREE small performances in public spaces to ticketed events for larger performances. There’s sure to be something for everyone so click HERE to book!

Canadian Craft Biennial coming to an end
After a stunning three months of exhibitions and events – The Canadian Craft Biennial closes October 29th.
The Art Gallery of Burlington, in collaboration with Craft Ontario, has been proudly presenting the first Canadian Craft Biennial over the summer of 2017. Under the theme “Can Craft? Craft Can!” the exhibition both explored what and who is ‘Canadian Craft’ and analyzed the ideas regarding the agency of craft.

La Biennale canadienne des métiers d’art se termine
Après trois mois d’expositions et d’activités éblouissantes, la Biennale canadienne des métiers d’art se termine le 29 octobre.
C’est avec fierté que l’Art Gallery of Burlington, en collaboration avec Craft Ontario, a présenté la première Biennale canadienne des métiers d’art au cours de l’été 2017. Sous le thème « Can Craft? Craft Can! », la biennale nous a permis de découvrir les artistes des métiers d’art et leurs créations, tout en analysant les idées régissant l’agencement des œuvres.

Coming Soon – SWIFF!
The South Western International Film Festival is a new endeavor led by Toronto International Film Festival Programming Associate, Ravi Srinivasan. SWIFF brings culturally diverse, international stories to the south-western Ontario region, with its home base in Sarnia between Detroit and Toronto, and running from November 2nd – 5th.
SWIFF’s aim is to spotlight new voices, female perspectives, and stories that will engage a region that has a growing thirst for art and culture.

Bientôt à l’affiche : SWIFF!
Le South Western International Film Festival est une nouvelle initiative menée par Ravi Srinivasan, attachée à la programmation du Festival international du film de Toronto. Le SWIFF, qui a lieu à Sarnia, entre Detroit et Toronto dans la région du sud-ouest de l’Ontario, présente des histoires du monde entier et de diverses cultures. Le festival se déroule du 2 au 5 novembre.
L’objectif du SWIFF est de mettre en lumière de nouvelles voix, le point de vue des femmes et plusieurs récits qui stimuleront une région de plus en plus assoiffée d’art et de culture.

PanAm Path and the Embassy of Imagination
Time is running out – make sure you check out Avatittinnik Kamatsiarniqs’ Embassy of Imagination public mural! Kamatsianiqs’ place-making project by Inuit youth artists from Kinngait (Cape Dorset, Nunavut) and the Embassy of Imagination was created in partnership with Ottawa School of Art.
This exhibition concludes PanAm’s work with youth and art for the summer of 2017.

Le temps presse! Voyez sans plus tarder la murale publique Embassy of Imagination inspirée par la valeur sociétale Avatittinnik Kamatsiarniq! Le projet de transformation des espaces publics Kamatsianiq est réalisé par de jeunes artistes inuits de Kinngait (Cape Dorset, au Nunavut). L’Embassy of Imagination a été créée en collaboration avec l’École d’art d’Ottawa.
Cette exposition marque la fin du travail artistique de Pan Am avec les jeunes pour l’été 2017.
