The Royal Botanical Gardens (RBG) was established in 1941 by an act of the provincial government. RBG is recognized in Canada and throughout the world for its unique contribution to the collection, research, conservation, exhibition and interpretation of the plant world. It is one of the world's largest botanical gardens, including five gardens and four nature sanctuaries on over 2,700 acres of cultivated gardens and natural lands protected from the industrial and suburban encroachment of Canada’s most urbanized area.

Earth Art Exhibition
Description du projet
« Earth Art Exhibition » est une nouvelle initiative des Jardins pour montrer des artistes canadiens et internationaux qui vont créer des installations uniques d'art environnemental ou éphémère au travers des jardins cultivés et des espaces naturels. L'exposition est programmée par John K. Grande, un expert en art éphémère de renommée internationale. Les artistes sont Nils-Udo (Allemagne); Emilie Brzezinski (USA); Simon Frank (Canada); Neville Gabie (UK); Yolanda Gutierrez (Mexico); Ludwika Ogorzelec (Pologne/France); Arthur de Mowbray (UK); Roy Staab (USA); Bob Verschueren (Belgique); et Sharon Loper (USA).
