UNZIPPED: The Rolling Stones Exhibition
Description du projet
This application is for “UNZIPPED: The Rolling Stones Exhibition”, a touring exhibition that will be on view at THEMUSEUM from November 2, 2021 until January 30, 2022. The exhibition opened in London, England in 2016 and has travelled to New York City, Sydney, and Tokyo. The immersive and experiential attraction, curated and developed in partnership with the Rolling Stones, will include over 400 original artifacts, artworks, stage costumes and instruments from the band’s personal archives, and a multi-sensory and multi-screen concert experience. THEMUSEUM’s second floor will be transformed into the Voodoo Lounge, a food and beverage experience shaped after the most swinging British pubs. The exhibition will also feature a series of guest speakers. Ancillary activities include concerts at the Centre in the Square with bar and restaurant partners developing Rolling Stones themed food, beverage and music nights. Private sector partners include Rogers, VIA Rail, Waterloo Brewing, and the Centre in the Square. Covid preparedness: THEMUSEUM has instituted a series of health and safety protocols dealing with building capacity, cleaning measures, contact tracing for infections, and strategies concerning the use of high touch and/or immersive galleries and has been planning for new procedures concerning capacity changes once public health officials deem it is safe to move forward. Most hand touch interactives in the show have been transformed into other immersive type interactives, many of which are now sound and music based.
