Burlington (population 175,779), is a city in the Regional Municipality of Halton at the northwestern end of Lake Ontario. The municipality produces several cultural events, including their annual Canada Day Celebrations. In 2016 the City of Burlington was named the Municipality of the Year by Festivals and Events Ontario for the leadership the City and its event organizers contribute to the industry.

Citizenship Reaffirmation Ceremony & Concert

This application is for the “Citizenship Reaffirmation Ceremony & Concert in partnership with the Sound of Music Festival”, taking place on Sunday June 11, 2017 at Spencer Smith Park on the Burlington waterfront. Programming will include a ceremony for previous new Canadian citizens and naturalized Canadians and five musical acts focusing on Burlington and Canadian talent.
