The CityFolk Festival (formerly the Ottawa Folk Festival) was founded in 1993 to celebrate music, dance, the spoken word, visual arts and other forms of creative expression drawn from a wide range of styles, traditions and cultures. The Festival, located at Lansdowne Park, is a four-day celebration of music, dance, and community featuring an eclectic mix of musical performances on multiple stages. The BSOMA KidZone offers special children’s and family performances on Saturday & Sunday 1-6PM. Aberdeen Pavilion offers a Craft Beer Fair, artisan and craft vendors. Marvest, a free event as part of CityFolk, offers over 70 free performances throughout businesses in the Glebe BIA.

CityFolk Festival 25th Anniversary
This application is for the “CityFolk Festival 25th Anniversary”, enhanced and expanded programming that will span across two festivals, the 2018 CityFolk – September 12 to 16, 2018 and the 2019 CityFolk – September 11 to 15, 2019 in Lansdowne Park in Ottawa. The lineup will feature CityFolk “alumni” as well as new, established and emerging Canadian and international acts. Programming details yet to be confirmed.
