Incorporated in 2008, Caribbean Promotions Arts & Culture Inc.’s mandate is to produce performing arts festivals for the purposes of entertaining, educating and advancing the public’s understanding and appreciation of performing arts and to educate artists through participation in such festivals. JerkFest is an annual festival which takes place around the second weekend in August every year. JerkFest celebrates the world renown jerk cuisine. JerkFest began in 2002 by Island Promotions Inc. and was taken over in 2008 by Caribbean Promotions Arts & Culture Inc. This three-day festival, the oldest Jerk Festival in North America, hosts the largest concentration of jerk food vendors in North America on the weekend of the festival.

Grace International Jerk Food & Music Festival (Grace Jerk Festival)
Project Description:
This is the first time the organization has applied to the Fund. This application is for “Grace International Jerk Food & Music Festival” taking place at Centennial Park in Etobicoke, August 10 - 12, 2018. Programming includes: (1) August 10: 'Women of Soul', RnB night, the Festival’s first all female bill; (2) August 11-12: Reggae and Soca (line up tbd); (3) August 11-12: Children’s programming featuring Caillou and the Care Bears; and (4) a new Platinum VIP Garden that can accommodate 32 patrons per night, to operate alongside the VIP Garden. The Platinum Garden will target out of town visitors from the USA, catering “high-end” patrons. These patrons will get an opportunity to purchase Festival packages that include: hotel room; admission to the park; reserved seating on posh outdoor furniture; and will include all meals and beverages.
