| Over its first seven years (1999 to 2006): |
| |
| • |
The Fund committed $25.3 million to 201 projects. |
| • |
OCAF funding reached over 110 Ontario communities. |
| • |
Over $2 million was committed to projects in northern
Ontario. |
| • |
About $2.5 million was committed to events in small
and rural communities (populations under 100,000) across the province. |
| • |
Over 60 funded events had total revenues less than
$100,000. |
| • |
After just seven years, OCAF’s funding commitments
already exceed the initial government investment in the Fund by 27%. |
| • |
Don’t wait – you might be too late! The
Fund is depleting, so organizations should consider applying soon to in
order to ensure that funding is available. |
| • |
As of April 1, 2006 almost $7 million remains in
the Fund, including principal, interest and expected repayments. Based on
current projections, the Fund is expected to last for a maximum of three
more years - until 2008-09. |
